Michelle is the passionate owner of Honeydew Bears, a well-known business serving the teddy bear industry for over 30 years. After a successful 21-year career in corporate Management, she took over Honeydew Bears in 2005, bringing fresh creativity and expanding the range of patterns, kits, and supplies tremendously. 

Michelle has built Honeydew Bears into a trusted name within the industry. The business specialises in personal classes, same-day mail order service, and the import of beautiful premium mohair from Germany, supplying everything needed to create timeless handcrafted teddy bears.

A passionate supporter of the wider creative community, Michelle has hosted the annual Bear Fair since 2006 and, in 2026, joined forces with two scrapbooking Leaders (below) to launch the exciting new Craft Con SA this year in September 2026— a fresh craft concept bringing creatives together under one inspiring event.
